Hero Ingredients
With high tech natural compound and super hydrator/hydration retention balancer Aquaxyl, organic jojoba and sunflower seed oils, extracts of rosemary, aloe vera, oat and vanilla, and essential oils of arctic lingonberry seed, ginger and sweet orange.
Ginger essential oil promotes circulation necessary for clear complexion and healthy, youthful, radiant skin. When used in skincare, the flowering ginger plant's rhizome or underground stem is used.
Sweet orange essential oil improves complexion, lessens the appearance of lines and wrinkles and supports circulation. Sweet orange is known for its immune boosting properties. It is anti-anxiety, anti-irritating, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.
Organic jojoba oil is moisturizing with a non-greasy touch. Because of its unsaponifiable components (precious components found in some oils with softening, revitalizing and moisturizing properties), it spreads easily. Jojoba oil penetrates the epidermis easily without leaving any film, mainly because its characteristics are very close to those of skin’s natural sebum. It is also an antioxidant with anti-age properties. It revitalizes and nourishes skin.
Sunflower seed oil is very rich in essential unsaturated fatty acids (more than 85%) and vitamins (E and F). It’s well-known for its nourishing, soothing and revitalizing properties and penetrates skin easily because its composition is very similar to skin’s natural sebum.
Aloe vera extract is the resin from the succulent plant which acts directly on skin’s collagen fibers, fostering and revitalizing elasticity. It contains complex polysaccharides that encourage appropriate water retention while offering excellent moisturizing properties. Aloe vera is used in the treatment of dermatitis because it soothes the pain and heals infections.
Rosemary extract is an antioxidant with anti-age properties. Rosemary is known as a free radical scavenger. It improves overall complexion especially blemished skin.
Oat extract is an anti-inflammatory skin calming emollient. It’s effective in the treatment of dry skin, sunburn and eczema.
Vanilla extract is anti-inflammatory properties and helps soothe and calm irritated skin. As an anti-bacterial, vanilla can be used to help reduce skin infections and speed wound healing.
Arctic lingonberry essential oil is extremely rich in omegas 3, 6 and 9 (for moisturizing and anti-age action) and in tocotrienols (antioxidants more powerful than vitamin E). These factors are essential to lingonberry’s survival in temperatures as low as minus 50°C. Lingonberry also contains plant sterols that reduce skin sensitivity. The oil has anti-inflammatory and revitalizing properties.
Aquaxyl is a high tech natural compound and a combination of molecules extracted from wheat, this ingredient promotes skin’s own hydrous flow. Aquaxyl is composed of Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, and Xylitol, all three of which are natural sugars found in fruits, vegetables and plant-life. It is gluten-free.
Aquaxyl deeply hydrates to increase water reserves in the skin. It has been proven by corneometry analysis that Aquaxyl improves epidermal water content and stimulates the synthesis of GlycosAminoGlycans (GAGs) that are responsible for trapping water within the skin. This action delivers an immediate and long-term moisturizing effect.
Aquaxyl also forms a protective film on the skin which prevents water from evaporating. In vivo clinical studies have shown that Aquaxyl increases the synthesis of ceramides, the major constituent of the skin’s protective barrier. It has also been demonstrated that Aquaxyl decreases trans-epidermal water loss. It makes the skin stronger and more resistant to harm from external influences.
